WHITE BONE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure your makau carved from white bone stands the test of time, simply wipe it down with a cloth every now and then to keep it clean and free from residue or grease. Bone is an incredibly durable material, so it can stay white for centuries, however its porous nature may cause the color to shift to a yellowish hue over time due to the oils from your skin coming into contact with it. This is a natural process that can add even more character and mana to your makau. If you wish to restore its original white color, simply submerge it in ocean salt water and expose it to the sun.
