Tagua Makau is carved from a very special material called tagua. It is considered natures ivory because of it’s look and texture. This particular species of Tagua takes eighteen years to form. Yes, that’s right eighteen years for the tagua palm to form the nut you see in these pics. Then once the tree bears fruit, “tagua nuts,” it dies and leaves behind natures ivory. I’ve kept the live edge on the side of the hook to showcase the natural wood that grows on the tagua. The hook in the picture is what you will receive. Pendant is finished with a fine sand and polished to shine.
*Cord is adjustable and can fit over all head shapes and sizes.
